The Official Bio
"The original EsTN Appalachia Blues Metal band. All others just aint us.."
Formed in an early Tennessee spring, Dead Moons Grey shaped itself almost naturally into a sub genre of its own. They have allowed their music to properly reflect, musically, their mountain style.
Based out of Knoxville Tennessee, The D.M.G. derives its range of influences from life experiences and the variety of cultures and rhythms that are native only to the "Chain". With some songs employing instruments of the southeast region like Banjo, Acoustic guitar, Jaw Harp, Slide guitar and finger styles of "Sludge Slides", "Hic bends" and very liberally "Pinch Harmonics". The music is a definite hodgepodge of technique and artistry.
From festivals to the regional club scene with its distinct and regionalistic sound, not to mention their stage antics and showmanship, these guys put on a fun show...
Having been signed to Christian label Soundmass, in the fall of 09, they released their 1st labeled CD "DMG" in spring of 2010. Since DMG has been showcased on television, radio slots and interviews, Internet streaming of performances (so as to reach overseas fans live) and Newspaper interviews and articles, proves that the D.M.G. machine is moving foreword and has already made a big ripple in their pond.

Other Bios or Articles....
This is a new breed of southern metal that brings all aspects of power, groove, and southern pain.
"He's got a steel slide going!"
Described as "Contemptuous Rebel Metal" these fellas bring a new light to the Southern metal genre as far as music, lyrics and originality. Especially showman ship. Not afraid to get the crowd involved these guys show everyone how music can be pure again. Guitars in the air, rippin solos on guitar and bass and a drummer that plays acustic guitar mid-song. "These guys really are crowd oreinted and show it through talent and demeaner". So grab a helmet and hold on its gonna be a wild and mean ride.
"Im not puttin on an act for you this is really me, just louder."
The music is a blend of influences ranging from: Joe Walsh, Pantera, BLS, Allman Bros., Ozzy, G.Throughogood, Danzig, Down, Zombie, Motley Crue, Suicidal Tendencies, Sam Hain, ZZ Top, Chuck Berry, AC/DC and more!!
"New Metal with an old attitude"
With a bigger than life attitude on stage these guys really tear it up. With no regard to anyones ear, they weave their "Hellbilly" rythems through your head and into the walls behind. With a few songs revolving around bikes on the road you get a real felling of what it is like to be there with them in the wind. Tuned in drop B flat and drop C, you feel the shake through your body as if you are ridin along. The walls quake and floors crumble all due to the full stage set up at which no ear is spared.
"This aint a steel guitar havin band"
"If your looking for fun, originality and a metal good time then look to the Dead, the Moons and the Grey. I did and i was so shocked that these guys were not playing stadiums, its that good."
"The crowd actually stopped in thier tracks, dead stop, and listened to this band. They were not background music these guys are the show".

"From the mountains of Tennessee, they blend metal, rock and blues together into their own brand of Appalachian metal. Full of power, groove and southern angst, the band’s unique sound reflects the life and culture of the region. With regular performances and plans to tour, the stage antics and showmanship of Dead Moons Grey are sure to capture attention. Having already made a ripple down under, the band is seeking wider recognition in the USA. Recommended for fans of Black Label Society, Down and Pantera. It was released on Soundmass in Australia May, 2010."
